Crash Reported in Beecher City

Both drivers were injured in a two-vehicle collision in Beecher City on Tuesday evening.

Effingham County Sheriff's Department reports the crash occurred at 6:39pm on Poplar Street, a quarter mile west of Spring Street. 30-year-old Stacey Osborne of Beecher City and 37-year-old Brittany Huddleston of Neoga were both traveling westbound when Huddleston's vehicle began to slow to turn, and Osborne's vehicle struck the rear of Huddleston's vehicle.

Both Osborne and Huddleston were taken by Rural Med Ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.

Deputies cited Osborne for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash.
