Altamont school board members approved various board assignments Monday night.

The Board approved an amended budget for the current fiscal year, heard from Robin Elam on course offerings at the high school for the coming school year, and from Alan Whitt on summer projects at district facilities.

The Altamont board accepted resignations from Giles Gieseking as crossing guard, Robin Elam as National Honor Society sponsor, from Eric Heiden as junior high boys track coach, and Bethany Nelson as junior high girls track coach. The Board also employed Martha Puckett as health/PE teacher for the coming school year, and approved Michelle Wagner and Gina Popp as grade school student council advisors.

The Board approved moving interest earned on bond levies to the capital projects fund, and approved the commercial insurance renewal through the current carriers.
