$50,000 Powerball Ticket Purchased at Moto Mart

An area resident is richer after winning $50,000 in the Illinois Lottery's Powerball game on Saturday.

The unnamed winner purchased his ticket at the Effingham Moto Mart on North Route 45. A Moto Mart attendant said the man comes in weekly to purchase a ticket. He stopped by the station Sunday to confirm his winning ticket. 

There were 12 people who matched 4+ numbers and won $50,000 prizes.
