Effingham Noon Rotarians learned more about PAVE and the life of a local boy who became a nationally-known actor and producer at recent meetings.

Brittany Sunderman is the PAVE co-ordinator. PAVE...Promoting a Vision for Effingham County...will be the subject of a community breakfast scheduled Thursday morning at Effingham High School.

Lucinda Hart served as weekly program chair.

Rotarians also found out more about Randy Arney. A native of Effingham, Arney was bit by the actor's bug after taking a buddy to a high school play audition. He has gone on to appear in television and movies, but has had his greatest success at the Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago and the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles. Arney and his wife, the former Mary Ellis, also an Effingham native, have relocated at least on a part-time basis to their hometown.
