North Clay school board members were busy at Wednesday night's meeting.

The Board heard about the traditional Senior Walk that took place through the district buildings on May 5. It's a chance for the members of the senior class to take one last walk through the hallways where they've grown up.

Board members were also updated on high school graduation on May 7, and on the start of Summer School set for May 22. There was also a recap of Disability Acceptance Week.

The Board held further discussion on future building projects and were updated on the summer HVAC and roofing project. It was also decided to retain the same board committee assignments.

Board members approved the tentative revised budget for the current fiscal year with final approval expected in June. There was discussion on discontinuing 8th grade promotion exercises, but no decisions.

In personnel moves, North Clay board members hired Michele Ruesken as junior high head volleyball coach, hired Phil Givens as volunteer high school girls assistant basketball coach, and accepted the resignations of Julie Koelm as high school track and field coach and Michele Ruesken as junior assistant volleyball coach.

The Board accepted the resignation of Michael Honerkamp as high school girls assistant basketball coach, and rehired all other recommended coaches and sponsors for the coming school year.

Board members approved dock days for Christina Sisk, hired Collyn Ballard as summer help for up to 300 hours, and hired Kelsey Gibbons as a substitute bus driver.
