Dieterich Man Found Dead; Due to Natural Causes

A Dieterich man was found dead Monday afternoon, and authorities say the death was due to natural causes.

69-year-old Robert Baughman was found about 12:30pm in his home by a family member.  Dieterich firefighters, Effingham City-County Ambulance personnel and Effingham County sheriff's deputies were summoned.  Effingham County Coroner Duane Guffey was called to the scene at 12:56pm and pronounced Baughman dead at 1:15pm.

The investigation determined that Baughman died due to natural causes and no foul play is suspected.
