Teutopolis village board members have learned that the village did not receive an ITEP sidewalk grant. The grant would've funded a large amount of sidewalk repair in the village. The village will be able to reapply in two years.

The Board is continuing its discussion about modifications to the recently-enacted solar ordinance, but did not make any changes at its recent meeting. Tony and Traci Martin from Sonne Energy were at the meeting to thank the board for additional time to offer input. It's expected the matter will be revisited.

Building Official Tony Esker reported that Travis Bushue is considering locating an ice dispenser on the McMahon Meats property on the west end of the village. Also, Bob Goldstein asked the board about vacating the Pearl Street right-of-way north of Northern Row.

The Board decided to continue awarding a contract for stockpiled maintenance materials at their May 3 meeting, voted to approve all liquor license applications for 2023, and discussed but reached no decisions on appropriations for the coming fiscal year and safety measures for the village hall.

Chuck Deters and Hank Niebrugge have approached the board about the village taking over handling remaining revenues from the 175th anniversary celebration for the village, and the board hired Dylan Niemeyer and Jackson Probst to do seasonal maintenance work.
