Wright's Furniture and Flooring Adds Five Locally Made Mattress Options

Wright’s Furniture and Flooring, a fifth-generation family-owned business, has announced it has added five additional locally made mattress options to its recently developed mattress label, Wright Sleep Mattresses. 

The products are made in Central Illinois and are sold at the Taylorville and Robinson locations and its original store in Dieterich. The additional five mattresses are called Mainstreet Plush, Mainstreet Firm, Valor Plush, Valor Firm and Freedom. The original two mattresses are the Hometown Plush and Hometown Firm (formerly called The 1889 Firm and 1889 Plush mattresses).

“We started this mattress label two years ago with the goal of providing our clients with the type of mattress options they were looking for,” said Wright’s Furniture and Flooring Marketing Director Alex Wright. “We use a unique compression process on these mattresses that are designed to not only make the mattress very comfortable but help it last and keep its original shape longer. After seeing its success, we knew this was something we wanted to continue growing. It’s been very gratifying to see how many people trust the quality of our product.”

Wright attributes the mattress line’s popularity to the unique process in which they are made. He said all Wright Sleep Mattresses feature the same four basic features. They feature a unique high gauge steel spring, imported from Switzerland, which is designed to provide long-lasting and consistent comfort. They also have a four-way stretch fabric with moisture-wicking technology to allow for a cool, comfortable sleep along with a unique hand tufting process that pre-compresses the mattress, making the mattress retain its original shape for longer. The mattresses also have box-stitch side handles, which allow for easy mattress rotation, as needed. Wright said regular rotation is a best practice with any mattress and ensures even weight distribution over the mattress’s lifetime. 

“This is a product that we are very proud to put our name on and its unique features should make all of our customers feel confident that they are getting a great quality mattress,” said Wright. “The fact that these mattresses are also being made locally is the extra bonus for our customers. People like to support the businesses in their own backyard.” 

Wright added that because The Wright’s Sleep Mattresses are made in Illinois, the store is able to accommodate specialty orders and restock items sooner. The company will continue to carry other big brand mattress lines such as Serta, Simmons, Sealy, Spring Air, Bemco and Tempur-Pedic.
