Tractor Damaged by Fire Monday Morning

A tractor was damaged by fire Monday morning northwest of Effingham.

The call came to property owned by Erik Pike at 9:20am. The property is located on North 850th Street.

Shumway firefighters said the damage was chiefly confined to the tractor. The rafters of the barn where the tractor was stored were charred and hot, but not burned. Effingham firefighters assisted at the scene. Watson firefighters initially were called, but were canceled en route. 

There were no injuries.
