An Effingham man has pleaded guilty to indecent solicitation of a child.

65-year-old Clarence Roadarmel was arrested in January on that count and several other charges. The other charges, including grooming and child pornography, were dismissed as part of the negotiated plea.

Judge Allan Lolie set a recognizance bond for Roadarmel at $50,000 and released him on electronic home confinement. Roadarmel was ordered to have no contact with the victim and also was ordered to stay off social media.

Effingham City Police received a report of a possible sex offense about 9:30pm on a Saturday, and the investigation led to Roadarmel's arrest.

Roadarmel is to be sentenced on June 13.
