Governor Quinn is getting an additional month to decide whether to sign the concealed carry bill sent to him last week by the Legislature.

A federal appellate court approved Attorney General Lisa Madigan's request to extend the July 9th deadline for the state to enact a concealed gun law. State law normally gives the governor 60 days to consider whether to sign a bill.

Quinn hasn't said what his plans are, but supporters say there are enough votes in both houses to override a veto.
