Effingham County Fair Seeks Queen Participants

The Effingham County Fair queen pageant directors are seeking girls between the ages of 7-8 as participants in the Junior Miss Pageant Sunday, August 4 at 7 p.m. The participants will be on stage as entertainment while judges are calculating scores for Junior Miss contestants.
And girls, between the ages of 9-10, as participants in the Miss Pageent August 6 at 6:45 p.m.
The theme for the Effingham County Fair this year is Proud of the Past, Faith in the Future. To help celebrate the 55th anniversary or the Queen Pageant, all young ladies are invited as possible future queens. They will be on stage wearing a casual dress and receive a crown.
The entry deadline has been extended. A $20 entry fee is needed to apply as a participant. A Princess Party is planned to meet the 2012 Miss Queen Gina Thoele and the 2013 contestants. A practice also will be held for the onstage event that will take place at the pageant. This event will take place at Christ Church on Veterans Drive Monday, June 18 from 6:30-8:15 p.m.
