Mason Woman Arrested on Drug Charges

A Mason woman was arrested by Effingham County Sheriff's deputies on drug charges.

The Effingham County Sheriff's Department said that 29-year-old Alicia Kessler's vehicle broke down on Wednesday evening. When a friend brought her back to the ailing vehicle, deputies were waiting, and Kessler was allegedly found in possession of the drugs. 

Kessler was charged with manufacture or delivery of controlled substance, possession of the drugs, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Kessler is next due in court on the charges on Thursday.
