The lawsuit brought by Accuracy Firearms and other plaintiffs is due back in court next week for a status hearing.

The Effingham business and almost 900 other plaintiffs brought suit .against Governor J.B. Pritzker, Attorney General Kwame Raoul, Senate President Don Harmon and House Speaker Chris Welch. The suit concerns the weapons ban legislation passed by the General Assembly and signed into law by Pritzker that would prevent use of certain types of weapons and ammunition.

A status hearing is scheduled for next Wednesday at 1pm in Effingham County Circuit Court before Chief Judge Douglas Jarman. No trial date has been determined.

The attorney for Accuracy Firearms and the other plaintiffs, Tom Devore, Tuesday filed a motion to have all similar suits in the matter joined with the Effingham County case.
