Work in Rollin Hills Subdivision to Begin Next Week

Work on the south half of Rollin Hills Subdivision in Effingham will begin next week.

Effingham City Engineer Luke Thoele said JB Esker will begin removing and replacing curb and gutter as soon as February 7th. This project will include Rollin Hills Boulevard from S. Lakewood Drive to N. Lakewood Drive and all of S. Lakewood Drive.

This project will include removing the existing sidewalk, curb, and asphalt surface and building new curb with a new asphalt street. The work will mirror what was done in the north half of the neighborhood in 2021. While efforts will be made to minimize impacts, there will be times when the work requires closures of the roadways affected and driveways to the residents.

Thoele asks that you use caution when driving through this, and any, construction zone. This is for your safety as well as the safety of the workers.
