The Effingham Regional Career Academy’s Board of Directors have created a non-profit foundation that will oversee development of ERCA operations, curriculum and other academy needs. The Effingham Regional Career Foundation has been approved as an Illinois charitable organization and paperwork will be filed soon to receive federal non-profit status from the IRS.

Directors took action on several items related to development of the new non-profit, including approval of the new ERCA Executive Committee members to include ERCA officers, the Lake Land College President and two at-large Board members. These individuals include Mark Doan, Norma Lansing, Lucinda Hart, Dr. Josh Bullock, Cary Jackson and Courtney Yockey.

The directors learned that enrollment for the Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 Explore ERCA classes is now open. Interested students can register at bit.ly/ExploreERCA.

ERCA is seeking a volunteer coordinator to assist with the organization's marketing needs and set the ERCA Annual Meeting for Wednesday, March 15.   ERCA will be exhibiting at the Effingham County Chamber Job Fair on March 23 and the 8th Grade Career Conference at Lake Land College on March 30 and 31.
