Death in Vandalia Being Investigated

Fayette County Coroner David Harris reports that he was dispatched to a home in Vandalia on New Year’s Eve where a 39 year-old female was found deceased.

An autopsy on the woman will be conducted on Wednesday, January 4. No further information is being released at this time as the investigation into the death is being conducted by his office, the Vandalia Police Department, and the ISP.

Coroner Harris reports that his was this fourth call in the last 3 days of 2022, but the other deaths were all from natural causes.
