Teutopolis School Board Approves Grade School Sound System

Teutopolis school board members Monday heard from teacher Amy Wakefield and students Molly, Gage, Ava and Chloe regarding Teutopolis Grade School's Makerspace program.

The Board accpred a property tax relief grant application, and authorized purchase of a sound system for the grade school. The tax levy for the fiscal year was approved, and the Board heard about a proposed property swap between the Teutopolis and Neoga school districts.

The Board heard that mini and mega grants by the Teutopolis Educational Foundation are to be considered in January, that a draft of a new student handbook will be considered in March or April, and that board member and superintendent evaluations are scheduled in January.

The Board accepted the irrevocable resignations of Jean Schumacher as high school secretary and Kevin Jamison as part-time bus driver. The Board also approved the employment of Eric Roley as high school softball assistant coachand of Karen Roley as high school volunteer coach.
