Candidates Filing for School Board

We are keeping you up-to-date on who has filed for various offices in the April 2023 election in Effingham County.

This is also filing week for those seeking election to their local school board.

In Effingham Unit 40, two incumbents have filed for another term, Jane Willenborg and Desha Wear. A newcomer, Dallas Bear, has also filed. In addition to Willenborg and Wear, three other seats are to be filled in 2023. Those are currently held by Robin Klosterman, Jill Wendling and Brad Waldhoff.

In Altamont Unit 10, incumbent Dane Milleville has filed for another term.

In Beecher City Unit 20, incumbent Ryan Schaefer has filed for another term.

In Dieterich Unit 30, incumbent Thad Goebel has filed for another term.

In Teutopolis Unit 50, incumbent Chandler Hewing has filed for another term. A newcomer, Laura Hemmen, has also filed. 

The filing period for school board runs through Monday, December 19 at 5pm. Filing for school board takes place at the Effingham County Clerk's office, located on the second floor of the Effingham County Office Building.
