Elks Contribute Funds to Various Organizations

Effingham Elks Lodge #1016 has contributed several thousand dollars to various charitable endeavors.

The lodge received two grants from the Elks National Foundation, the Beacon Grant and the Spotlight Grant, and two grants from the Illinois Elks Association, a total of $7,500.

Lodge members donated funds to four food banks...Catholic Charities Food Bank, St. John's Lutheran Church Food Bank, Enduring Freedom Ministries Food Bank, and FISH Food Bank. 

Three Scout troops received funds...Boy Scout Troop 3, Cub Scout Pack 6003, and Girl Scout Troop 6033, $500 each.

The Lodge also contributed $2,000 to Effingham County Veterans Commission and $2,000 to Crisis Nursery of Effingham County.
