The Cowden-Herrick Board of Education has approved a proposal by The Upchurch Group for improvements to the Herrick Grade School facility.

Superintendent Seth Schuler said the project will include replacing all of the interior doors, which will be paid for with the district's school improvement grant from the State. The project will also involve bathroom and locker room upgrades, including asbestos abatement work. Schuler hopes the project can be completed during the coming summer.

The Board also approved the purchase of junior high World History curriculum. The Board also passed the tax levy for the coming fiscal year.
