IDOT Suspends Road Work To Make Traveling Easier

The state Department of Transportation is doing what it can to help ease the crush of Memorial Day weekend traffic.

IDOT has suspended all but the most necessary road work this weekend. That means there are more open lanes for holiday travelers through midnight Monday. However, IDOT warns travelers that reduced speed limits are still in effect in construction zones, even if no workers are present.
