Selection Process in Place for Recommending Circuit Clerk Successor

The Effingham County Republican Central Committee has set up a procedure for selecting a recommendation to the Effingham County Board to fill the future vacancy of the
Effingham County Circuit Clerk. This recommendation is due to the announcement of the Retirement of Republican Circuit Clerk John Niemerg at the end of this year.
 
Interested Effingham County Republicans who wish to apply for this position will need to submit the following:
 
The candidate's resume should have references and a brief letter explaining why they should be recommended to fill this term vacancy.

Only those applications with a postmark date on or before December 5th, 2022, will be considered by the County Circuit Clerk Vacancy Committee. Depending on the number of applications submitted, they might prequalify some candidates.
 
Interviews will be held during the week of December 5th. Effingham County Republicans plan to have the candidate chosen by December 12th. The selected candidate will be
passed to the Effingham County Board as the recommendation to fill the vacancy.
