Salvation Army Bellringing Underway Today

Effingham County Salvation Army bellringers begin their work today

The bells will be rung every Friday and Saturday from 10am to 6pm from now until Christmas. Locations today are at Rural King, Kirby Foods IGA, Sav-a-Lot Foods, and Niemerg's Steak House. Beginning Friday, they will also be ringing at both doors at Wal-Mart.

Please phone Elaine at 217-342-5434 and leave her a message, and she can help you find a time and location to ring the bells. All money raised in Effingham County stays here to help county residents in need.

Salvation Army also has standalone buckets and counter kettles around town. You can also mail a contribution to the Salvation Army office at 1108 South Willow Street in Effingham.
