Effingham Noon Rotarians heard about an initiative undertaken by the Charleston Rotary Club at their meeting October 26.

Kristen Bertrand of the Charleston Club was on hand to discuss their flag program. Club members help put the flags out around the city on specific holidays. The flags are out after 7am and are retrieved by 6pm; that way they are only out during daylight hours. The initiative was spurred by Charleston's annual Red White and Blue Days celebration.

Noon Rotarian Mike Varady served as Rotary weekly program chairman and invited Bertrand to be present to make the presentation.
