Complete information has been released on a crash involving a fatality that occurred in Cumberland County earlier this month. The Cumberland County Coroner's Office has authorized Illinois State Police to release the information. State Police had earlier shared information about the nature of the crash.

The crash occurred at 4:45am on Friday, October 14 on I-70 eastbound, two miles east of Montrose. Two semis were involved in the crash. One rig, driven by 30-year-old Manjinder Singh of Fresno, California was parked on the shoulder of the roadway, as Singh was tending to an incident.

The other rig, driven by 57-year-old Anthony Fisher of Nickerson, Kansas, crossed over partially onto the right shoulder and struck the left rear of Singh's stopped semi. The moving vehicle then crossed back over the driving lane and came to rest in the passing lane, then caught fire and burned the majority of the trailer of the rig.

A passenger in Fisher's rig, 49-year-old Stacy Fawn Ide of Nickerson, Kansas, was killed in the incident. Fisher was airlifted from the scene to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Singh was not injured.

Eastbound I-70 at the scene of the crash was closed for several hours.
