Unit 40 Board Acts on Personnel, Student Expulsion Matters

Effingham Unit 40 school board members acted on some personnel matters at a special meeting Thursday evening.

The Board voted to transfer Kylie West to a breakfast supervisor's position at the Early Learning Center. That action followed accepting the resignation of Vicki Luppino from the supervisor's position. 

The Board also approved the retirement of Michelle Slater as a Kindergarten teacher at the Early Learning Center, as of the end of 2022.

The Unit 40 board also voted to expel a student effective today through the end of the 2023-2024 school year, and to refer the student to an alternative educational setting.
