Eastbound I-70, east of Montrose, remained closed early Friday afternoon after a collision involving two semis.

Authorities say the crash occurred at 4:45am at the 107 mile marker, about two miles east of the Montrose interchange. The interstate remains closed for the investigation and vehicle recovery.

Traffic is being routed off the eastbound lanes at Montrose, and traffic as a result is much busier on US Route 40 between Montrose and Greenup, where you'll be able to get back onto the interstate.

We will keep you up-to-date.
