Dundas resident Michael Mattox Monday was sentenced to 40 years in prison for first degree murder.

The charges against the 60-year-old Mattox stemmed from an incident in December 2021 that led to the death of two women.

Mattox was charged with driving his pickup truck through the intersection of North Avenue and West Street in Olney on December 26 and onto the patio of Deuce's Wild Saloon, striking and killing 48-year-old DeAnn Richardson and 69-year-old Judy Jourdan, both of Olney.

Mattox pleaded guilty earlier this year to one of the murder counts.

Mattox will serve 100% of the sentence. He will serve three years' mandatory supervised release once out of prison.
