Republicans Seeking Those Interested in State's Attorney Post

The Effingham County Republican Central Committee has set up a procedure to decide on a recommendation to the Effingham County Board to fill the upcoming vacancy in the office of Effingham County State's Attorney. This recommendation is needed due to the appointment of State's Attorney Bryan Kibler to the office of Resident Circuit Judge on August 22nd of this year.

Interested Effingham County Republicans who wish to apply for this position should submit their resume with references and a brief letter explaining why you should be recommended to fill this term vacancy. Send your application to the Effingham County Republican Central Committee at this address:

Only those applications with a postmark date on or before August 22nd, 2022, will be considered by the State's Attorney Vacancy Committee. Durbin said, "Depending on the number of applications submitted, we might have to prequalify some candidates."

The applicant interviews will take place during the week of August 29th. Durbin said, "We plan to have the selected candidate by August 31st when I will pass that name onto the Effingham County Board as our recommendation to fill the vacancy."
