Fairgrounds Barnyard Playground Dedicated

The new Effingham County Fairgrounds Barnyard Playground was dedicated Sunday.

The playground includes various items for kids to climb on, slide on and generally have fun on.

In keeping with the theme, a calf named Daisy welcomes visitors to the playground, along with a number of other barnyard animals. While Fair Board President Phil Hartke is responsible for Daisy, the Effingham Noon Rotary Club donated the nine other animals.
