Work continues by Dieterich village officials to lower the price of the Wright Family Center.

The Dieterich Village Board approved an additional services agreement with Farnsworth Group for a mechanical re-design of the Center. The re-design will break the work up into smaller mechanical systems that can be served by local vendors. Even with the additional re-design, it is estimated the change will save $50,000 to $60,000 on the project.

The Board approved design and construction engineering work with Milano and Grunloh of Effingham for work on East Section Street, although the village is still waiting on award of a grant to finance the project. There was also discussion of work to slow the flow of water through a drainage ditch in North Pointe Subdivision.

The Board released any claim on a lot owned by Mitch and Christine Niemerg in Hartke Subdivision; acknowledged a letter of recommendation from the Board of Zoning Appeals and Planning on a variance in a setback on Old Mill Road for a lot in Prairie Meadows Subdivision; and approved a plat of Kowalski and Probst Subdivision in North Pointe Subdivision.
