Three People Injured in Crash Near Greenup

Three people were injured when two semis collided on I-70 near Greenup just after 8am Friday.

Those injured were a man from Ozone Park, New Jersey and a man and passenger, both from Fresno, California. 

State police reported one rig ran off the eastbound lanes and through the median, ending up on the westbound lanes where he collided with the westbound rig. The rig that ended up in the westbound lanes overturned on its side following the collision.

All three of those involved were taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The New York resident was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash and improper lane usage.
