Two Injured in Motorcycle Accident

Two people were injured in a motorcycle crash west of Effingham Thursday afternoon.

The crash happened just after 4pm on Illinois Routes 32/33 at 1200th Street. 

Effingham County Sheriff's Department reported the cycle operated by 39-year-old Heath Warner of Beecher City attempted to turn north onto 1200th Street and struck loose gravel. Warner lost control of the cycle and laid the bike on its side.

Warner was injured, as was his passenger, 67-year-old Nancy Warner of Beecher City. Both individuals were taken for treatment to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Heath Warner was cited for operating a vehicle with a suspended registration.
