Dieterich Board Grants Support Staff, Principals Pay Hikes for Coming Year

The Dieterich school board Monday granted support staff and principals a 5.75% pay increase for the upcoming school year.

The Board also accepted a resignation from Lauren Garbe as head high school volleyball coach, accepted the resignation of Ellen Warner as an aide, and hired Maggie Britton, Lindsay Budde, Lisa Hushaw, Amber Schumacher and Haley Veach as aides for the coming school year. The Board also approved a leave of absence for Jessica Mette from August 18 to November 4.

Dieterich board members awarded insurance bids...Prairie State Insurance for property, casualty and liability coverage at an 11.52% premium increase...and Egyptian Trust for health insurance at a 5.5% hike. South Central FS was awarded the fuel bid, the adjusted budget for the current fiscal year was approved reflecting grant funds received through the year, and membership in the Illinois Association of School Boards was renewed for the coming year.

The Board approved a facility use request from the Dieterich Women's Club for their craft fair on November 22, and the annual school-wide waiver for Title grants was approved, allowing funds to be used for all students, rather than targeted students.
