Altamont school board members Monday reviewed proposals for a transportation building.

Proposals from Longhorn Building and RC Building were considered, but no decision was reached.

The Board discussed a tuition waiver proposal, but took no action. Some districts are offering teachers who live outside the district free tuition for their children to attend school in the district. Board members also awarded insurance bids, including Wright Specialty Insurance for the general package and for school board legal liability, CFC for cyber liability coverage, Liberty Mutual Surety for the treasurer's bond, and Gerber Life for the blanket and catastrophic student accident coverage. Also, People's Bank and Trust was awarded the bid for banking services for the district.

In personnel matters, the Altamont board accepted a resignation from Larry Blevins as a teacher, from Mike Delaney and Lisa Reardon from coaching track, and Jenny Aldrich as high school yearbook sponsor. The Board hired Doris Zerrusen and Connie Schultz to coach junior high girls basketball, and hired Stephen Long to teach high school Social Sciences.
