Louisville Man Injured When His Motorcycle Struck a Deer

A Louisville man was injured when the motorycle he was operating struck a deer on the highway.

The incident happened at 10:12am Sunday on US Route 45, north of Iola Road. 69-year-old Lewis Charlton was traveling southbound when the cycle struck the deer, causing the motorcycle to lay down on its right side. Charlton fell off the motorcycle and the cycle continued south before coming to rest in the middle of the southbound lane.

Charlton was taken to the hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries.
