Details Released on Crash at 4th and Eiche Last Week

Effingham city police have released information on a crash a week ago at 4th Street and Eiche Avenue.

The crash happened at 4:41pm on May 17. City police report a vehicle driven by 45-year-old Michael Kollman of Neoga drove into the path of, and was struck by, a vehicle driven by 38-year-old Adam Butts of Effingham.

The force of the impact caused Kollman's vehicle to overturn. Two riding lawn mowers unsecured on a trailer being towed by Kollman's vehicle were thrown into a yard owned by Donna Jones of Effingham, damaging the yard. The trailer also struck and damaged a city stop sign.

Butts was injured, but declined treatment. 

Kollman was cited for disobeying a traffic control device.
