Eastbound I-70 is back open after a collision early Friday involving two semis.

State Police report the rigs were both eastbound about a mile west of Montrose when the collision occurred at 5:25am. Police say one of the semis rear-ended the trailer of the other rig.

The driver of the second semi was seriously injured and was airlifted from the scene for treatment. The driver of the rig that was struck refused medical attention.

Both eastbound lanes were closed in the first few hours after the crash.
