Unit 40 Board Acts on Personnel, Expulsion Items

Effingham Unit 40 school board members Monday approved several personnel actions.

The Board hired Chelsey Wilkins as a school social worker. Resignations were accepted from Katherine Mette as a high school teacher and from Naomi Ochs as a high school teacher and an assistant high school volleyball coach. A leave was granted Clara Brown.

Board members amended next year's school calendar, moving a holiday from February 13 to February 20 for President's Day.

The Board also voted to expel four students and referred the students to an alternative education setting.
