Fayette County Accident Injures Ramsey Couple

Illinois State Police have reported on a single vehicle accident with injuries that ocurred Tuesday evening in Fayette County.

At approximately 5:15 pm a truck driven by James Haas, 47 of Ramsey, was traveling eastbound on 2800 North near the intersection of 1500 East attempted to pass another vehicle. Haas lost control and went off of the roadway to the left and overturned. 

Haas and his passenger Amanda Haas, 39 of Ramsey, were both taken to the hospital with what were termed non-life-threatening injuries.

James Haas was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident, Improper Lane Usage, Failure to Wear a Seatbelt, and Possession of Open Alcohol by a Driver.
