Stew-Stras School Board Holds March Meeting

Stewardson-Strasburg school board members Wednesday acted on a host of items.

The Board:

--approved a South East Purchasing Cooperative Intergovernmental Agreement

--approved a district liability insurance bid effective April 1 at a cost of $52,621

--approved a 2023 to 2025 intergovernmental cooperative sports agreement

--approved the lease-purchase of a school bus

--established a maximum purchase price for a district van of $30,000

--approved an E-Learning plan

--approved the student handbook for the coming school year

--held a follow-up discussion on a sewer project with the Village of Strasburg

In personnel moves, the Stew-Stras board hired Steve Blythe as a part-time night custodian...accepted the resignation of Shane Smith as athletic director...accepted the resignation of Craig Moffett as high school girls basketball coach...approved hiring Jeremy Kinkelaar as assistant high school baseball coach...and approved hiring Annie Smith as high school track coach.
