Just 14 New COVID Cases in County Over the Past Week

Just 14 cases of Coronavirus were reported in Effingham County during the week of Friday, March 4 through Thursday, March 10.
Of those 14 individuals, 14% were up to date with vaccinations, 64% were completely unvaccinated, and 21% were not up to date with their vaccinations. Half of the individuals were under age 40.
The Effingham County Health Department reported another COVID-related death during the past week; an individual in their 60s who was unvaccinated.
The seven-day rolling test positivity in Effingham is down to 1%, and ICU availability in the region is at 37%.
