More Filings Tuesday for Legislative, Congressional Races

The Illinois State Board of Elections has received nominating petitions from a number of other candidates for legislative and congressional offices in the June primary.

Those include:

--Joshua Qualls of Centralia, who is a Democrat candidate for Congress in the 12th District

--Paul Lange of Quincy, who is a Democrat candidate for Congress in the 15th District

--Chad Miller, who is a Republican candidate for resident circuit judge in Jasper County, to succeed the retired Dan Hartigan

--Mike McHaney of Iuka, who is a Republican candidate for 5th District Appellate Court to succeed David Overstreet

--Barry Vaughan of McLeansboro, who is also a Republican candidate for 5th District Appellate Court

--Homer "Chip" Markle of Carbondale, who is seeking election as a Democrat for Congress in the 12th District

 

The filing period will continue through the end of the day on Monday, March 14.
