Investigation Into Death of Infant in Greenup

Illinois State Police have confirmed that an investigation is underway into the death of an infant in Greenup.

A statement released today by ISP is as follows: "Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 8 was requested by the Greenup Police Department to conduct a death investigation in Greenup, Illinois. On February 11, 2022, a 15-month-old male was located in the 900 block of Cumberland, in Greenup.

"The investigation is being led by ISP DCI Zone 8 with the assistance of Greenup Police Department."
