Stew-Stras School Board Sets Graduation Dates

Stewardson-Strasburg High School graduates will celebrate Graduation Day on Sunday, May 22; junior high promotion at 1pm, high school graduation at 3pm.

The date was set by the Stew-Stras school board at this week's meeting.

The Board also approved student fees for the coming school year, approved an intergovernmental agreement with the Village of Strasburg for sewer service to the school, and approved a LIFT agreement with the Mattoon school district.

The Stew-Stras board discussed a school calendar for the coming year, with a tentative first day for Teachers Institute on Wednesday, August 17 and the first day of student attendance to follow. Also reviewed was an updated calendar for the current school year with the district now in attendance on Thursday, April 14, Tuesday, April 19, and Tuesday, May 24. 

In personnel moves, the Board accepted Marla Rincker's resignation effective February 25 and approved Monica Tomblin as a junior high English teacher.
