5770 Task Force Continues Billboard Campaign

The 5770 Task Force announced two new static billboards were installed at the end of November and a digital board was renewed via a donation by an anonymous local donor furthering their “Can You See Me” campaign and sponsored in part by funds procured by the Task Force through the 100 Women Who Care Effingham County Grant.

The static billboards are located at 1501 W. Fayette Avenue in Effingham near Hardees and Effingham Event Center, and east of Altamont at mile marker 84.1 along I-70. A digital billboard is located at 4511 W. Broadway in Mt. Vernon.

The 57/70 Task Force, established in 2020, was founded by community leaders, along with the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce. The task force’s mission is to educate the community for purpose of spotting, reporting and ultimately eliminating human trafficking in Effingham County, one person at a time.
