Top Five Finish at State for EHS Competitive Cheer Team

(THE EHS COMPETITIVE CHEER TEAM)

The Effingham High School Competitive Cheer team placed fifth Saturday at the ICCA State Championship in Springfield.

This is the highest finish for EHS at the competition.

Lisa Sigg and Ashley Clough are the cheer team coaches. Team members are Sarah Hirtzel, Maddie Rieman, Paige Kalber, Gabbi Kreke, Hallee Lewis, Makenna Duckwitz, Abbie Cochran, Aila Woomer, Serenity Traxler, Kyle Thompson, Brianna Alwardt, Gabby Haslett, Kaylee Thompson, Addison Holste, Alli Crainick, Lucy Dorman and Addysen Stortzum.

Two EHS athletes, Gabbi Kreke and Kyle Thompson, were chosen for the ICCA All-State Cheer Team. The All-State Team is comprised of 15 athletes from throughout the state.
