422 Positive COVID Cases in County in Past Seven Days

The Effingham County Health Department announced 338 new positive cases of Coronavirus Disease reported since Monday. When added to the weekend numbers released on Monday, they bring this week's total to 422, a 64% increase from last week.

There were no COVID-related deaths during the week.

Of the cases, 201 involved people under age 40.

The seven-day rolling test positivity increased to 18.5% in the county. ICU availability in the region is at 13%.
