SAHS Sophomore Headed to All-State

St. Anthony High School sophomore Joanna Mitchell is being congratulated for qualifying for the ILMEA All State Festival.

Mitchell will perform as a member of one of the All State orchestras. She will travel to Peoria from January 26-29 to begin rehearsals. The All-State concert will be presented on Saturday, January 29 at Peoria Civic Center.

Organizers say this is the highest high school band accomplishment, and is the equivalent of any athlete or sports team reaching State.
